The California Military Department is seeking a contractor to provide aircraft camera mounting system services. The contractor will design, engineer, fabricate, and deliver a specialized mounting system and bracket assembly to support the Government-furnished Shotover M2 camera. The contractor will also provide all necessary resources to design, engineer, fabricate, test, deliver, and support a fully operational Portable System for aerial Analysis, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ASR) missions. Key features of the system include power supply and charging solutions, transport and mobility, stabilization and mounting, environmental protection, connectivity and cable management, and rapid deployment features. The contractor will perform all assembly and integration required to install the Portable System on designated aircraft and conduct comprehensive testing and validation to confirm full operational performance, safety, and compliance with all Army Aviation and FAA requirements.
• The system must comply with Army Aviation Regulations (AR 95-1 and AR 70-62), Airworthiness Releases (AWRs), and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards, including 14 CFR Part 145.
• The contractor will provide a complete, mission-ready mounting solution that enables secure installation, optimal performance, and reliable field deployment of the camera.
• The system will include independent FAA-compliant batteries for reliable power, an independent charging station for stationary use, and a mobile charging station for field deployment.
• The contractor will conduct comprehensive testing to verify all software features, camera-to-console communication, metadata accuracy, file integrity, and integration with avionics and ground systems.
