Description
The Department of Natural Resources is seeking a consultant to review available information compiled by Minnesota DNR and the facility operator to understand the history and status of dam safety for the Milepost 7 tailings basin, provide draft EAW content related to dam safety and associated geotechnical assessments, and provide draft record of decision content related to dam safety. The consultant will be responsible for reviewing data submittals from the mining company for completeness and accuracy relating to dam safety, assisting in EAW preparation relating to dam safety, and assisting in consideration of public comments relating to dam safety. The contract is anticipated to be from December 2025 to December 2026, with the option to extend up to an additional one year.
