Construction Services for W.J. Mitchell Elementary WQ Facility

The Charles County Government is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide stream restoration in an actively eroding channel of an unnamed tributary to Clarks Run through the installation of in-stream and bank stabilization structures. The project site is located at Walter J. Mitchell Elementary School, La Plata, in Charles County, Maryland. The contractor will be required to complete the scope of work and all requirements contained in the contract documents within 210 consecutive calendar days after the start date specified in a written Notice to Proceed issued by Charles County Government. The contract will include provisions for prevailing wage, insurance, and performance bonds. • The contractor must have requisite experience for the work as described in the Special Provisions and must be actively engaged as a legal entity in this field for a period of no less than five (5) years at the due date for quote/bid/proposal. • The contractor must demonstrate their experience on the Experience Form and provide no less than three (3) projects completed within the past five (5) years of equal or greater magnitude. • The contractor must comply with the requirements concerning minority business enterprises as set forth in Resolution Number 2005-53. • The contractor must pay each employee at a rate equal to or more than the prevailing wage currently in effect for the type of work performed.
