Water Main Fittings and Accessories

The City of Madison is seeking quotations for water main fittings and accessories. The required materials include AWWA C110-Latest Edition, Class 250 cast iron mechanical joint pipe fittings, cement lined, with accessories, and entire fittings tarred. The city also requires ductile iron fittings meeting the above C110 specifications, gaskets, bolts, conductivity copper straps, and polyethylene encasement. The award of the bid will be based on the total of all quantified items on the bid list. The city has a local preference purchasing policy, granting a scoring preference to local suppliers. • The city requires AWWA C110-Latest Edition, Class 250 cast iron mechanical joint pipe fittings • Ductile iron fittings meeting the above C110 specifications are acceptable • Gaskets shall be armor-tipped conductive M.J. (no lead) • Bolts shall be manufactured from corrosion-resistant, high-strength, low-alloy steel • Conductivity copper straps, 1.5” X 36” with pre-drilled bolt holes (0.812”) at each end • Polyethylene Encasement Requirements: V-Bio Enhanced Polyethylene Encasement, or Engineer approved equivalent
