Backflow Prevention Program Inspection

The City of Roseville is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to conduct annual inspection tests of approximately 4,500 backflow prevention assemblies located within the City's service area. The selected contractors will be responsible for testing the assemblies, reporting the results, and maintaining the test gauge equipment in conformance with the State of California Cross-Connection Control Policy Handbook and the City's Cross-Connection Control Plan. The contractors will also be required to submit test reports to the City's Asset Management System within two business days of test completion for passing tests and within four hours for failed tests. • The City is looking for contractors who can provide the services on an as-needed basis. • The contractors will be required to have CA/NV AWWA-Certified Backflow Prevention Assembly Testers. • The City will provide a schedule of inspections, allocated monthly, to be conducted over a 10-month period from January through October of each year. • The contractors will be required to submit inspection reports to the City's asset management system through an online portal. • The City will conduct periodic work inspections by City staff to ensure the contractors are following the required procedures.
