Description
The City of Salina is seeking sealed bids to paint and finish a variety of steel and concrete elements on the 531‑ft North Ohio Street Bridge, including fences, barriers, light poles, and railroad rail. Bidders must be pre‑qualified with KDOT for Work Type Q – Painting Structural Steel and must submit three complete sets of plans and specifications if awarded. The scope covers surface preparation, rust removal, and application of protective paint systems to over 70 light poles and associated bridge structures.
• Paint and coat steel fences, pedestrian railings, and concrete barriers on the bridge.
• Paint 24 street‑light poles (6 on the bridge) and 46 pedestrian light poles, plus 5 bollard lights.
• Perform surface preparation and protective coating on railroad rail sections embedded in the bridge barrier.
