Description
The City of Dublin is seeking qualified engineering firms to provide professional On-Call Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) services to support private development projects, Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects, and the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the City’s traffic signal and transportation technology systems. The selected firm will provide services on a “Time and Materials” basis, with a budget and specific work scope for each project. The firm will be required to provide traffic signal controller programming, signal phasing and timing support, and related operational configuration services, as well as Traffic Operations Center (TOC) support services.
• Provide traffic signal controller programming, signal phasing and timing support, and related operational configuration services.
• Provide Traffic Operations Center (TOC) support services, including system configuration, integration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and equipment replacement recommendations.
• Design, analyze, and provide technical support for communications infrastructure serving traffic signals and transportation systems, including fiber optic networks, wireless systems, and network equipment configuration.
• Provide technical support during construction and implementation of ITS improvements, including plan and shop drawing review, field observation, and assistance with system testing and operational verification.
• Evaluate and support implementation of traffic detection technologies and assist with integration into traffic signal operations.
• Conduct technical evaluations and comparative analyses of ITS hardware, software, and related transportation technologies.
• Provide technical support related to transportation data systems, performance reporting, and data-sharing initiatives.
• Provide technical recommendations related to cybersecurity considerations and system resilience for transportation technology systems.
• Provide technical support for ITS improvements associated with private development projects, CIP projects, and City traffic operations.
• Provide technical review and recommendations related to ITS and communications planning efforts.
