Wheel Loader Lease/Rental

The City of Ames is seeking qualified vendors to lease one or two wheel loaders (all‑wheel‑drive, bucket with JRB quick‑attach) for its Fleet Services Department’s street‑maintenance operations during the winter season. The lease periods are November 1 2026 – March 31 2027 (5 months) for one unit and December 1 2026 – March 31 2027 (4 months) for the second unit, with an optional one‑month extension. Bidders must provide monthly or hourly pricing, transport fees, fuel/DEF topping‑off rates, and any applicable discounts. The City will handle routine maintenance and will pay invoices weekly.
