Description
The California Highway Patrol seeks a qualified contractor to provide semi‑annual preventive maintenance and calibration for two weight‑scale facilities – the Rainbow Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility (CVEF) and the Rainbow Platform Scale (PS). The contractor will clean, inspect, lubricate, calibrate, and certify the scales in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, state statutes, and safety regulations, and must supply test‑weight equipment capable of at least 20,000 lb. The work includes two service cycles per year for three years, with mandatory site walk‑through and strict DVBE participation requirements.
• Perform two comprehensive maintenance cycles per year on each scale, including cleaning, rust removal, lubrication, calibration, and a 20,000 lb load test.
• Supply and operate test‑weight equipment (≥ 34,000 lb capacity) and assist State Weights & Measures during inspections at no extra charge.
• Comply with California DVBE, small‑business, and prevailing‑wage requirements; provide all insurance, certifications, and documentation as outlined.
