The City of Salina is seeking a qualified contractor to perform surface preparation and painting of bridge‑related structures on the 531‑ft North Ohio Street overpass. The scope includes painting existing roadway and pedestrian fences, concrete barriers, railings, and street‑light poles on the bridge, as well as related lighting fixtures. Bidders must hold a Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) pre‑qualification for Work Type Q – Painting Structural Steel and submit sealed bids by the October 29, 2026 deadline. The contract will be awarded through a public sealed‑bid process, with the City reserving the right to reject any or all proposals.
• Paint existing bridge fences, concrete barriers, and railings.
• Paint 6 street‑light poles located on the bridge (additional poles off‑bridge are listed but not part of bridge work).
• Provide three complete sets of plans/specifications (additional sets at cost) and meet KDOT Work Type Q pre‑qualification.
