RAIL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, LEASING, AND ASSET DEVELOPMENT

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) seeks a qualified contractor to assume full management of rail‑related real‑estate assets along state‑owned passenger and freight lines. The contractor will create efficient administrative, accounting, and record‑keeping processes for CTDOT’s Office of Rail (OOR) real‑estate interests and will devise innovative strategies to generate both recurring and one‑time non‑fare revenue through strategic disposition, leasing, and development of these assets. • Manage rail‑property portfolio covering New Haven Line, Danbury, Waterbury, New Canaan branches, and state‑owned freight rights‑of‑way. • Design and implement streamlined administration, record‑keeping, and accounting systems for OOR real‑estate holdings. • Identify, evaluate, and execute leasing, sale, or development opportunities to maximize revenue. • Provide ongoing reporting and performance metrics to CTDOT. • Ensure compliance with all applicable state regulations and railroad safety standards.
