Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP) Fund 1.5

The purpose of the EVITP Fund is to train and certify electricians to install electric vehicle charging equipment statewide. The program aims to increase the number of electricians certified through EVITP within California, with a focus on disadvantaged communities, low-income communities, and rural areas. The funding will be used to support the training and certification of electricians, with an estimated total available funding of $934,702. The program is administered by the Employment Training Panel (ETP) in collaboration with the California Energy Commission (CEC). • The program is open to Multiple Employer Contractors (MEC) and single employer contractors are not eligible. • The funding will be used to support the training and certification of electricians. • The program has a focus on disadvantaged communities, low-income communities, and rural areas. • The application deadline is 11/25/25 17:00. • The expected award announcement is in January 2026.
