The State of Michigan is seeking a System Integrator to design, implement, and support a new cloud-hosted Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) solution. The EDW was established in 1994 as a centralized repository for historical and current data supporting Michigan state agencies’ decision-making and mission-critical applications. The successful bidder will be responsible for replacing aging infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, compliance, and enabling AI/ML. The System Integrator will design the architecture and technology stack, integrate data from multiple sources, transition ETL, reporting, and application interfaces, manage secure migration, testing, training, and documentation, and provide post-deployment support and maintenance.
Some key objectives of the project include:
• Architecture & Hosting: The solution must be State cloud-hosted leveraging AWS, GCP, or Azure, handle current capacity, and be scalable.
• Integration: The solution must support over 1,000 interfaces and protocols and be compatible with various software systems.
• Data Security: The solution must comply with various data security requirements, including FedRAMP, IRS Pub 1075, PCI DSS, HIPAA, and NIST.
• Accessibility: All digital deliverables must meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and the bidder must provide PATs and remediation plans.
• User Capacity & Performance: The solution must support over 1,000 end users, 480+ concurrent sessions, and be scalable without performance degradation.
