CUSTODIAL OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE OF REST AREA/WELCOME CENTER

The North Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a janitorial maintenance company to provide custodial operations and maintenance of a rest area/welcome center in Northampton County. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to extend for two additional years. The contractor will be responsible for providing labor, supervision, equipment, and supplies to maintain the rest area in a clean and safe condition. The contract will require the contractor to adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to safety, security, and environmental protection. • The contractor will be required to provide a performance guarantee in the amount of 5% of the monthly compensation. • The contractor will be required to obtain and maintain liability insurance with a limit of $5,000,000 per occurrence and $5,000,000 general aggregate. • The contractor will be required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to employment, labor, and environmental protection. • The contractor will be required to submit a bid that includes all necessary documentation, including a bid form, contact information, operations plan, and references. • The contractor will be evaluated based on their experience, ability, and price, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder.
