Invitation to Bid – Meter Adapters

Central Alabama Water is seeking qualified vendors to supply a variety of brass meter adapters that meet ANSI/AWWA C800 low‑lead specifications. The contract will be for one year with possible extensions, and the supplier must provide certifications, manufacturer authorizations (if acting as an agent), and be able to ship FOB destination, freight prepaid, to the CAW central warehouse. The solicitation is a sealed‑bid public competition; bids are due by 11:00 a.m. on October 15 2026. • Provide six listed adapter sizes (¾”×5/8”, 1”×¾”, 1”×5/8”, 1”×5/8”×¾”, 1‑1/2”×1”, 2”×1”) from approved manufacturers (Ford Meter Box Co. or A.Y. McDonald) or approved equals with technical substantiation. • Submit one sealed envelope with completed bid form, manufacturer certifications, and required compliance statements (debarment, non‑discrimination, conflict‑of‑interest). • Delivery must be FOB destination, freight prepaid, to CAW’s warehouse; payment terms are Net 30 with no discounts considered.
