Description
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is seeking bids for the procurement of police tear gas. The TDCJ requires a purchase order for the supply of aerosol pepper spray, which must meet specific requirements, including a minimum of 4 oz to a maximum of 4.4 oz, cone delivery, containing 1.33% major capsaicinoids, and measuring 6.25"x1.5". The product must be non-flammable and compatible with electronic immobilization devices. The bidder must provide a sample if the product is not previously approved by the TDCJ.
• The TDCJ requires the bidder to provide the name, phone number, fax number, and email address of a point of contact for the submitted bid response.
• The bidder must certify that the bidding entity and its principals are eligible to participate in this transaction and have not been subjected to suspension, debarment, or similar ineligibility determined by any federal, state, or local governmental entity.
• The bidder must comply with the Texas Hazard Communication Act and provide Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS's) for hazardous materials sold.
• The TDCJ reserves the right to immediately remove and/or refuse entry to any individual who has violated the security restrictions.
