E-Rate Internet Access Services

The Irving Independent School District is seeking proposals from qualified Internet Access Service providers to provide Internet Access Services districtwide. The contract will be for a minimum of 25,000 with a preferred speed of 40,000 Mbps for each Internet Access port and fiber optic based transport from the service provider’s point of presence to two IISD facilities. The Internet Service Provider must include DDoS protection or mitigation services. The district anticipates this service being installed and available for service on July 1, 2026. Key requirements include: • Proposer’s annual revenues have been ten (10) million dollars or more the last three (3) years. • The Proposer account management team has a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the delivery in Internet access within the last four (4) years prior to the RFP due date with experience in building and maintaining successful relationships while servicing large public sector and/or education accounts. • Proposer has at least two (2) company employed technical engineer personnel on staff in the DFW metroplex. • Proposer has been in business continually for more than five (5) years. • Proposer is required to submit three (3) references for existing or previous significant Internet delivery to customers with comparable bandwidth. • Proposer will establish a dedicated Account Manager as sole point of contact for the District throughout the life of the proposal. • Proposer can maintain a consistent high service level throughout the life of the proposal. • Proposer has experience in delivering proposed services to K-12 school districts.
