First Responder Liaison

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) is seeking a First Responder Liaison to provide technical assistance and support to assigned agencies. The liaison will work with KDOT's Behavioral Safety Program Consultant to ensure the program is staffed and operated according to specifications. The contract will be for a period of 16 months, with the option to renew for two additional 12-month periods. The liaison will be responsible for providing monthly reports, annual reports, and objectives, and will be required to comply with KDOT's policies and procedures. Some key aspects of the job include: * Providing technical assistance to assigned agencies * Working with KDOT's Behavioral Safety Program Consultant * Submitting monthly and annual reports * Complying with KDOT's policies and procedures * Maintaining sufficient financial resources to underwrite all costs of running the program * Seeking reimbursement for eligible expenses The ideal candidate will have experience working with first responders, knowledge of KDOT's policies and procedures, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
