Strategic support for human resources for health for the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MOHSS) to sustain HIV epidemic control in Namibia under the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)

The Centers for Disease Control-GHC is seeking strategic support for human resources for health to the Ministry of Health and Social Services in Namibia. The goal is to meet the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief objectives and achieve control of the HIV and TB epidemics in Namibia. The recipient will align activities with Namibia's National Strategic Framework goals for HIV and provide human resources services and support, including advertisement, recruitment, deployment, compensation, payroll administration, performance management, personnel support, procurement of project-related equipment and supplies, and human resource management. • The recipient will become contractual employees of the MOHSS, with salary support provided by the cooperative agreement. • The recipient will address critical staffing needs for public health preparedness. • The recipient will increase access to and the supply of qualified health professionals, technical specialists, and administrative support staff. • The estimated total fiscal year funding amount is $15,500,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds.
