POLICE FLEET CAR WASHING SERVICES

The City of Charlottesville is seeking bids from qualified vendors to provide car washing services for the Charlottesville Police Department fleet. The contractor must provide automated vehicle wash services, including exterior wash, pre-cleaner, underbody wash, and rinsing and drying. The contractor must also provide access to interior vacuum cleaning equipment at no additional cost. The contract will be for one year with the option to renew for up to four additional one-year terms. The City encourages the participation of small and micro businesses, businesses owned by women, minorities, or veterans, and employment services organizations in the City's procurement opportunities. • The contractor must have at least one location within a two-and-half-mile radius of Charlottesville City limits that is open a minimum of six days a week. • The contractor's vehicle wash equipment must recycle water. • The contractor shall be held liable for vehicle damage incurred during the execution of this contract due to contractor's equipment malfunction. • The contractor must provide a drug-free workplace for the contractor's employees. • The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations applicable to the provision/performance by the contractor of the goods/services.
