Skyway Roadside Fuels Reduction

The Butte County Public Works Department is seeking a firm to remove trees, shrubs, ladder fuels, and other vegetation to reduce the fuel load within the County’s existing right of way along 12 miles of Skyway, from Magalia to Stirling City. The project will include removing brush and trees less than 8 inches in diameter, removing and chipping understory and overstory of trees, and pruning retained trees. The successful firm will be required to enter into a contract with the County for the services requested in this RFP within a reasonable time after award. Key tasks include: * Removal of chaparral, brush, and small trees * Removal of trees less than 8 inches DBH * Tree pruning * Debris disposal * Reporting and environmental mitigation and compliance.
