Description
The South Carolina Department of Corrections is seeking to modernize a set of mission critical mainframe application systems. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to collect information regarding the automated conversion of database records and applications from ADS/O – COBOL – IDMS to a .Net – SQL database – Azure GCC deployment. Vendors will be provided with a simplified version of an actual application and must demonstrate an automated conversion of an ADSA application and associated IDMS database records. The proof of concept must be completed within 30 days and include a presentation to SCDC with a question-and-answer period. Key requirements include:
• Code conversion must be fully automated
• Generated code must be human-readable and maintainable
• Generated code must not require any licensed software to operate
• Generated code must be compatible with deployment into the Azure Government Community Cloud (GCC) using a standardized DevOps pipeline
