Description
The Florida Department of Corrections is seeking a qualified private contractor to operate and manage the South Bay Correctional Facility (1,948‑bed adult male prison) under a three‑year contract, with two‑year renewal options. The contractor will be responsible for all aspects of facility operations, including security, inmate housing, health services, programming, staffing, compliance with state and federal regulations (PREA, ADA, HIPAA, etc.), and performance reporting. The award will be based on a 70% technical and 30% price evaluation, with a mandatory site visit and a required confidentiality agreement. The anticipated annual spend is approximately $51.6 million.
