Single-mode 532 nm laser for Brillouin Light Scattering Spectrometer (High Speed Metrology for Magnetoelectronic Devices and Models)

The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) is seeking a single-mode 532 nm laser for a Brillouin Light Scattering Spectrometer. The laser should be a diode-pumped solid state (DPSS) laser with an output power of 250 mW at 532 nm. The laser must have a beam diameter between 1.5 mm and 1.9 mm, a beam divergence smaller than 0.5 mrad, and a spectral purity within 30 GHz of the fundamental mode. The laser should be readily interchangeable with the existing Torus 532nm 200mW laser. • The laser must meet specific technical specifications, including power stability, noise, and polarization. • The contractor must provide a 2-year warranty and deliver the laser within 12 weeks of receipt of the order. • The laser will be used for high-speed metrology for magnetoelectronic devices and models. • The contractor must provide a point of contact for installation and be available for questions during the installation period.
