Description
The Town of Putney is seeking a consultant to develop a Comprehensive Village Plan for Putney Village. The plan will provide a community-supported vision for the future of Putney Village with recommendations to realize that vision with policies, programs, and actions to guide, encourage, and reduce barriers to housing and economic development in the Village. The consultant will work with the Planning Commission and a citizen Project Advisory Committee to develop the plan. The project is expected to begin in March 2026 and be completed by the end of July 2026.
• The consultant will provide project plans and updates, review drafts, discuss key topics, and receive feedback.
• The consultant will design and facilitate an inclusive, joyful community engagement process with interviews, focus groups, design charrettes, community meetings, and other means.
• The consultant will develop an actionable, community-supported vision, map, and plan for the Village Center and NDA with sites for new and expanded affordable and mixed-income housing, local business development, community centers, and public green space.
• The consultant will identify areas for Village Center and NDA expansion with associated municipal services.
• The consultant will recommend policies, actions, and resources to encourage and de-risk housing development, economic revitalization, historic preservation, and associated municipal infrastructure.
