Sources Sought for Abbott i-STAT Handheld Analyzer Point-of-Care Testing - Cost-Per-Test or Equivalent

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking sources to provide Abbott i-STAT Handheld Analyzer Point-of-Care Testing - Cost-Per-Test or Equivalent for the Atlanta VA Medical Center. The contract will be a base plus one four-year option, firm-fixed priced contract. The contractor will be required to provide all necessary supplies and services, including equipment, reagents, maintenance, and training. The contractor will also be required to provide a cost-per-test price that includes all costs associated with the equipment and testing. Some key features of the required equipment and services include: * The ability to perform a variety of point-of-care tests, including blood gas, chemistry, and coagulation tests * The ability to provide test results in a timely manner, with a maximum test time of 15 minutes * The ability to use self-contained, disposable reagent cartridges * The ability to connect to the hospital’s LIS/HIS system and be bi-directional with the laboratory for data management and quality oversight * The ability to provide training and maintenance for the equipment * The ability to provide a cost-per-test price that includes all costs associated with the equipment and testing
