Description

The City of Boise is seeking qualification proposals to increase access to electric vehicle charging through infrastructure deployment and workforce development in the community. The project involves prioritizing, designing, and planning public electric vehicle charging sites, installing level 2 charging ports and DCFC ports, increasing community education and outreach, and creating a workforce development program. The contract will be awarded based on the best qualified proposal, and the City of Boise reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. • The project is funded by a $4 million grant from the United States Federal Highway Administration’s Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Grant Program. • The project aims to direct at least 40% of the benefits to underserved community members. • The project involves installing an estimated 80 to 100 level 2 charging ports and 2 to 8 DCFC ports across the city. • The project includes a workforce development program to help the Boise workforce and meet the growing needs of the EV and EV charging industries.
