The County of Riverside is seeking providers of parenting education services for the clients of the Children's Services Division (CSD) and walk-in residents of Riverside County. The services aim to provide evidence-based training for parents/caregivers with children and youth who are at risk and/or have been reported for maltreatment. The program's primary goal is to reduce entry/re-entry into the Child Welfare System and increase re-unification by equipping parents/caregivers with the knowledge and skills necessary to increase their capacity to effectively parent their children. The program will be evaluated based on the achievement of program outcomes, including a 7% increase in knowledge of effective parenting practices, a 15% increase in parenting sense of competence, and a 13% decrease in parenting stress.
• The program will be implemented in three separate zones within Riverside County.
• The vendor must select evidence-based practice(s) or evidence-informed practice(s) that meet the requirements of W&I Code 16507.07.
• The contracted vendor must obtain approval of evidence-based practice(s) or evidence-informed practice(s) by the Children's Service Division Program Evaluation Unit (CSD-PEU) within 30 days after the RFQ has been awarded.
• The vendor must provide documentation of justification, literature citations, and/or references that demonstrate evidence-based or evidence-informed effectiveness of the proposed evaluation tools.
