Battelle Boulevard Extension

The City of Richland is soliciting bids for the Battelle Boulevard Extension project, which includes clearing and grubbing, roadway excavation, placement of crushed surfacing, water and sewer main lines and services, irrigation main line, new conduit and vault placement (electrical and fiber optic), new storm drain systems, street light system, surfacing with hot mix asphalt, and site restoration. The project is estimated at $688,000. The bid opening date was June 4, 2019. Key aspects of the project include: • Roadway improvements, including mobilization, SPCC plan, roadway surveying, project temporary traffic control, removal of structure and obstructions, clearing and grubbing, erosion control, and illumination system • Sewer improvements, including PVC sewer pipe, sewer wye, trench safety, and sewer manhole • Water and irrigation improvements, including DI pipe for water main, trench safety, and connect to existing water main • Electrical and fiber improvements, including power conduit, conduit, trench excavation, and power vault • Pathway alternate, including crushed surface top course, soil residual herbicide, and HMA Cl. 3/8 in.
