Description
The School Board of Pinellas County, Florida, has awarded a contract to Rogers' Sign Corp. for the provision of electronic digital marquee signs and installation services. The contract is for a term of two years, with an option to renew for an additional two-year period. The contractor will provide all equipment, labor, and materials to fabricate and install exterior electronic marquee signs at various locations countywide. The signs will be installed using existing foundations, existing electric and grounding, and will include a lifetime cellular plan. The contractor will also provide removal of old signs and foundations as needed. The contract has a valued amount of approximately $1,000,000.
Key aspects of the contract include:
• The contractor will provide turnkey installation services, including engineering, foundation, area survey, GPR locates, soil testing, and rigid pipe stubs out of the foundation for electric and PVC stub out for grounding.
• The contractor will provide a lifetime warranty on the steel support structure and footer, and a 2-year labor and 5-year parts warranty on the Optec EMC.
• The contractor will provide insurance certificates prior to commencing work.
• The contractor will provide a cost proposal form, including base prices for signage, alternate prices for new locations, and additional pricing for permits and other services.
