21/0072 - Automated Fingerprint Identification System

The contract is for an Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) to be provided by IDEMIA Identity & Security USA LLC. The system will be cloud-based and will include implementation, configuration, and maintenance. The expected impact of the system is to improve processing time, reduce response time, and provide a disaster recovery plan to reduce downtime. The system will also improve officer safety by decreasing inquiry response times and improving matching algorithms for more accurate hit returns. • The contract has a one-year initial term with four one-year renewal options. • The system will replace the current 10-year-old HCSO AFIS. • The system will improve reliability and offer an enhanced disaster recovery plan. • The system will improve officer safety by decreasing inquiry response times and improving matching algorithms for more accurate hit returns. • The contract has a total funding source of $2,945,249.
