Security Services for Facilities and Various Operations

The City of Tucson has awarded a contract to American Guard Services, Inc. for security services for facilities and various operations. The contract includes services such as security patrols, stakeholder communication, rapid response, and monitoring. The vendor will provide a team of security officers, including supervisors and non-supervisory officers, to perform the services. The contract has a term of 4 years, with the option to renew. The City of Tucson has the right to increase or decrease the estimated annual quantities as circumstances may require. Some of the key features of the contract include: • 24/7 National Communications and Dispatch Center • Real-Time Vehicle Geo-fencing, GPS Tracking, and Management through Samsara Fleet Management • VB400 Motorola Body Cameras • Real-Time Officer Geo-fencing, Reporting, and Management through Field Force Manager • Axon Tasers (for the Supervisory/Taser Guard and Taser Guard [City Court only]) • Training, license, and certificate tracking through Dashboard, our nationwide proprietary software • Dedicated, fully staffed local Pima County office The contract also includes a wage survey for non-supervisory uniformed security officers, which shows that the vendor will pay a minimum of $14.00 per hour to all security personnel. The vendor has also provided a certificate of liability insurance, which includes a blanket automatic additional insured endorsement and a waiver of subrogation endorsement.
