Description
The University of Georgia is seeking a service provider to contract with on-campus students to provide a rental program for microwave and refrigerator/freezer combination units. The contract will be for a term of one year with an option to renew annually for an additional four years. The vendor will be responsible for providing units that meet the minimum specifications, installing and retrieving units, and addressing work requests from students. The university expects the awarded contractor to provide University Housing-approved direct marketing to students at no cost to UGA. The contract will be evaluated based on the vendor's plan to provide the services, acceptance of the State of Georgia's standard terms and conditions, and the overall cost to the student.
• The vendor must provide units that are either new or give the appearance of being new.
• The vendor must provide a separate freezer door and true zero-degree freezer for safe long-term storage of frozen foods.
• The vendor must provide units that are ENERGY STAR rated with electrical usage not to exceed 290 kWh/yr.
• The vendor must provide units that meet ADA compliance standards.
• The vendor must be able to respond to maintenance requests within 24 hours.
• The vendor must be able to replace units within a 4-hour window, at no additional cost to the student, if a unit is not able to be repaired during the first service call.
