Body Screening Security System

The contract is for the purchase of a digital security screening system, including installation and training. The system must meet certain specifications and requirements, as outlined in the bid documents. The contract was awarded to two vendors, Smith Detection Inc and Smart Security Solutions, with bid prices of $189,749.00 and $221,420.00, respectively. The contract terms include payment net 30 days. • The contract includes four line items: Security Screening System, Mobile Lead Shield, Installation and Training, and Extended Warranty. • The Mobile Lead Shield must be compatible with the Security Screening System. • The Installation and Training must be mutually agreed upon between the successful bidder and the county after finalization of location and site preparation. • The Extended Warranty must include an annual fee payable at the completion of the first year anniversary date of in service, and must cover parts, labor, travel, semi-annual preventative maintenance, annual safety checks, and informal training.
