Description
The contract is for Project Management and Construction Management Services to replace WFSU's outdated Television transmitter in Bloxham, FL, servicing the Tallahassee TV market. The project consists of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work, along with tower work including removal and disposal of old transmitter once the new transmitter is fully functional. The goal is to contract with a single integrator who will manage the project from start to completion until the TV transmitter is fully functional and operational.
• The project will include a tower structural survey, selection of a tower crew with the assistance of the FSU Committee, installation of new transmitter, transmission line, hangers, antenna, removal, and disposal of old equipment, and electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work.
• The selected firm will be expected to provide planning, programming, design/construction documents, assistance with tower crew selection, and construction administration, including any electrical, structural, plumbing work as needed.
• The project will be in compliance with the requirement identified in 2 CFR Part 200, Subpart D – Procurement Standards.
• Contractors should pay particular attention to Build America, Buy America Requirements.
