- The Fresno Center
Description
The County of Fresno, on behalf of the Department of Behavioral Health, is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide Cultural Specific Services. The services should be a unique blend of traditional mental health services and non-traditional culture-based treatments and supports in an integrated model for seriously mentally ill (SMI) clients in Fresno County's unserved and underserved culturally diverse populations. The contract is expected to be for 5 years, and the vendor should provide a comprehensive cultural specific, specialty mental health program. The program should include outpatient and intensive case management services, with optional full service partnership services, along with holistic behavioral health care immersed in client culture.
• The RFP was sent to 92 vendors registered in Public Purchase who met the classification match.
• Three proposals were received and accepted by the Purchasing Division.
• The evaluation panel consisted of 5 members, including a Peer Support Specialist, a Fiscal Staff Analyst, a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, a Utilization Review Specialist, and a Contract Staff Analyst.
• The evaluators reached an overall consensus that the bid proposal submitted by The Fresno Center met the County's RFP requirements.
• The recommendation for award is based on a complete and responsive proposal, knowledge and experience in the cultural/ethnic/linguistic population to be served, demonstrated capability and qualifications to provide specialty mental health services, knowledge in relevant rules, regulations, principles, and guidelines for MHSA and Medi-Cal, and a reasonable and adequate cost proposal.
