Background Check and Screening Services

The City of Spokane issued RFP #5776‑22 to obtain comprehensive pre‑employment background‑check and screening services for new hires. The solicitation attracted nine proposals, and after evaluation the City recommended Acranet, Inc. for award. The contract will cover criminal, credit, motor‑vehicle, and identity verification checks, with optional capabilities for risk‑management scans, education, and employment verification. The initial term is one year with the possibility of up to four additional one‑year extensions. Evaluation criteria are weighted 35 % technical, 30 % management, and 35 % cost. The City encourages participation from Washington‑state certified minority and women‑owned businesses but does not set a set‑aside requirement.
