On-Site Inmate Laundry Sanitation Services

The County of Lexington is seeking sealed proposals for On-Site Inmate Laundry Sanitation Services for the Lexington County Detention Center. The proposed schedule must meet the following criteria: 80 hours per week, 6-7 days per week, mandatory staffing between 5:00 PM and 11:00 PM, and no staffing between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Required services include laundry pick up from housing units, on-site laundering, sorting, folding, and returning laundry to the correct housing units, maintaining the booking laundry room stock, and maintaining clean and orderly workspaces. • The contractor shall provide all necessary equipment and maintain, repair, and replace it as needed. • The contractor shall provide a staffing plan that demonstrates the ability to complete the services required in a timely fashion. • The contractor shall provide proof of insurance and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. • The contractor shall provide a cost proposal that includes hourly and monthly rates. • The contractor shall provide a description of their approach, technique, and procedures to accomplish the scope of services. • The contractor shall provide certification that they have the ability to commence full operations within 30 days after notification of award.
