Janitorial Services

The U.S. Embassy in Nicosia, Cyprus is seeking a contractor to provide janitorial services for its facilities. The contract will be for a base year with four one-year options and a six-month option to extend. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and services to perform janitorial work, including daily, periodic, and monthly cleaning requirements. The contractor must also provide temporary additional services as needed. • Daily cleaning requirements include sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning of floors, furniture, and appliances. • Periodic cleaning requirements include polishing brass surfaces, dusting tops of tall furniture, and spot cleaning baseboards and walls. • Monthly cleaning requirements include cleaning major appliances, wiping window blinds, and moving furniture to vacuum or polish floors. • The contractor must also provide personnel with sufficient English language skills to communicate with U.S. Government staff and must maintain discipline and security at the site. • The contractor will be paid a fixed price per month for standard services and a fixed rate per square meter for temporary additional services.
