Access Control System Upgrade

The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) is seeking a qualified contractor to upgrade its access control system. The project includes replacing existing door controllers and card readers with new equivalent devices compatible with the Genetec Security Center unified security platform. The contractor will also provide maintenance and operations training for SORTA Security, Maintenance, and IT staff. The project will be completed in several locations, including the Huntington Center, Queensgate Facility, Bond Hill Facility, Access Facility, Riverfront Transit Center, Northside Transit Center, and Glenway Crossing Transit Center. The contractor must be a Certified Genetec Channel Partner and have experience with IP-based access control systems. • The contractor will conduct a pre-test of each existing access controlled door to document any faulty access control devices. • The contractor will replace each door controller with a new equivalent door controller from a manufacturer compatible with the Genetec Security Center unified security platform. • The contractor will provide a badging workstation with camera and badge printer for each facility. • The contractor will provide maintenance and operations training for SORTA Security, Maintenance, and IT staff. • The contractor will submit a detailed price breakdown and a commitment that the proposed pricing will be valid for not less than 120 days from the deadline for receipt of proposals.
