TEE Probe Sterilizing Unit for Philadelphia VAMC

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information and potential qualified sources capable of providing a Transesophageal Echocardiograph (TEE) ultrasound probe cleaner for sterilization. The equipment must meet specific technical specifications, including being chemical-free and using Ultraviolet-C (UV-C) light, having a disinfection cycle of 120 seconds or less, and including an instrument holder for one TEE probe minimum. The unit must also have a touch screen, RFID reader, and barcode scanner, and include both audible and visual alarms. The equipment will be delivered to the VA Philadelphia Medical Center. • The equipment must be capable of functioning without connection to the VA network. • The device must be capable of printing results for upload to Censitrac. • A minimum one-year warranty is required for all parts and associated fees. • Installation services are included under this contract, and the installer must coordinate with Biomedical Engineering. • Training must be provided to Sterile Processing personnel on-site. • The contractor must be able to accommodate different tours of duty at no additional cost.
