The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to gather detailed data from qualified technology vendors about commercially available and emerging Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) systems. The goal is to understand the market, technical capabilities, cybersecurity, privacy, deployment, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of ISA solutions in order to develop technical requirements and a future procurement for a statewide pilot and eventual rollout. The RFI seeks comprehensive vendor responses covering product specifications, installation and tuning processes, insurance coverage, service network, data handling, integration with MVA databases, and support services. Responses are due electronically by October 6 2026; questions must be submitted by September 21 2026. No pricing is required at this stage, and the RFI does not constitute a solicitation or guarantee of a future contract.
