J065--Notice of Intent to Sole Source GE Optima 660 CAT Scan System Service and Support

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to negotiate a sole source award to GE Healthcare for the service and support of a GE Optima 660 CAT Scan System. The contractor will be required to provide preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair services for the equipment. The contract period will be for one year from the award of the purchase order. The contractor must have been engaged in maintaining/servicing the equipment for a minimum of 3 years and must provide evidence of appropriate training for the equipment they are servicing. Some key points to consider include: • The contractor must use manufacturer-approved factory service parts and have legal access to OEM proprietary diagnostic software. • The contractor must provide the latest software updates when made available by the equipment manufacturer. • The contractor must perform preventive maintenance inspections annually on all equipment and support systems. • The contractor must maintain a permanent record of service histories for the equipment and provide written service reports after each repair and scheduled maintenance visit.
