Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Professional Engineering Services

The purpose of this competitive process is to ensure Pinellas County compliance with Section 287.055 Florida Statutes, known as the “Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act” (CCNA). The CCNA establishes contracting procedures by which counties must select architects, professional engineers, landscape architects, and surveyors and mappers for architectural, engineering, landscaping, and mapping services. The scope of work varies widely with each project and will be on an assignment-by-assignment basis. The selected MEP Professional firms will prepare detailed, separate proposals and schedules for each assigned project. Work assignments will be individually negotiated based on a fully burdened hourly rate fee schedule. • The selected firms will provide Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) professional engineering services. • The contract will be for a period of time, with the possibility of extension. • The County reserves the right to reject any or all submittals. • The County reserves the right to terminate the agreement without cause by giving thirty (30) days prior written notice to the Contractor.
