V225--Wheel Chair Van Transportation Service

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide nonemergent wheelchair van transportation services to veterans in the Hampton Roads area. The contractor will be responsible for providing all vehicles, personnel, management, supplies, equipment, and necessary reporting for the provision of nonemergent wheelchair transportation services. The services will be provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends and holidays. The contractor will be required to utilize the VetRide Vendor Portal or VA-Approved Transportation Software to receive and respond to electronic trip requests, submit claims, and update ride status. • The contractor must have a valid driver’s license and be capable of administering oxygen and providing necessary medical assistance. • The contractor must have a policy on tuberculosis (TB) exposure and control. • The contractor must have its personnel tested for TB in accordance with state guidelines. • The contractor must provide a list of all vehicles in its fleet, including make, model, age, and equipment description. • The contractor must provide a list of drivers and documentation of current licensure(s) and CPR certification. • The contractor must have a contingency plan in place for inclement weather, breakdowns, and emergency evacuations.
