Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide multi-omics services for a study on degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM). The contractor will be responsible for processing blood samples, extracting metabolites, proteins, and mRNA, performing quality control, and providing analyzed data. The scope of work includes pre-processing, library construction, sequencing, and bioinformatics analysis. The contractor must be specialized and capable in the three types of omics and subsequent bioinformatics knowledge required to analyze complex large data sets.
Key tasks and deliverables include:
• Pre-processing and extracting metabolites from human plasma
• Pre-processing and extracting proteins from human plasma
• Pre-processing, eliminating red blood cells, isolating white blood cells, and isolating RNA from human whole blood
• Providing cross-platform bioinformatics analysis to integrate the three omics data
• Providing shipping containment and overnight shipping of samples from and to VA
