2026 Metrobus Passenger Survey

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking a contractor to conduct intercept surveys of Metrobus customers. The surveys will collect jurisdiction of residence data for Metrobus passengers, demographic characteristics and travel patterns of Metrobus riders, and information on Metrobus passenger behavioral tendencies and preferences. The contractor will be responsible for collecting and analyzing the data to inform WMATA's efforts to increase ridership and improve the customer experience. The key requirements of the project include: • Collecting data on the demographic characteristics and travel patterns of Metrobus riders • Obtaining information on Metrobus passenger behavioral tendencies and preferences • Analyzing the data to inform WMATA's efforts to increase ridership and improve the customer experience • Submitting a report with the findings and recommendations The ideal contractor will have experience in conducting surveys and collecting data, as well as analyzing and interpreting the results. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills.
