Durham Public Schools is seeking a qualified contractor to establish a comprehensive life-safety compliance baseline for non-sprinklered elementary schools through the inspection, inventory, documentation, reporting, and limited repair of fire-rated life safety systems. The project includes 20 facilities, divided into two increments of 10 schools each, and includes fire-rated doors, smoke-rated doors, fire and smoke dampers, firestop systems, penetration seals, and other fire-resistancerated barrier assemblies. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing a professional manner of service, with qualified personnel, and will be required to provide a certification of financial condition, vendor experience, and references.
