DCY-C-2627-0084R Motivational Interviewing Training Program

The Department of Children and Youth (DCY) is seeking proposals for the development and implementation of a comprehensive Motivational Interviewing (MI) training program, including fidelity monitoring, for Local Child Serving Programs (LCSPs) across the state. The selected contractor must design, coordinate, and deliver a statewide Tiered Training Curriculum to a diverse audience, including agency leadership, supervisors, and front-line staff within LCSPs. The program aims to reduce foster care placements, support families, and improve outcomes for children and youth. Key objectives include enhancing the knowledge, skills, and capacity of staff across LCSPs to deliver MI with fidelity to the evidence-based model and strengthening collaboration between DCY and LCSPs. The contractor will be responsible for developing and implementing fidelity monitoring tools, a continuous quality improvement plan, and a train-the-trainer model. • The MI training program will be developed for all LCSPs. • The contractor will collaborate with DCY to develop a reimbursement process for Title IV-E Agencies implementing MI with model fidelity. • The contractor will provide quarterly progress reports and participate in monthly calls with DCY. • The program will be implemented over a period of 24 months, with the option for renewal.
