Transit - Commercial Buses Wide Body Cutaway Floor Plans GG, HH, & II

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is seeking bids for the provision of modified wide body cutaway buses for the State Transit Program. The buses must meet specific requirements, including compliance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Buy America requirements and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) regulations. The contract will commence from the executed contract date and will last for three years with the option of two one-year renewals. • The buses must have a steel cage body manufactured with a minimum of 16-gauge metal and meet FMVSS regulations. • The vehicles must have a minimum of 14 passenger seats, with two-passenger fold-a-way seats located behind the lift. • The buses must be equipped with an electrohydraulic wheelchair lift, meeting specific requirements and regulations. • The vehicles must have a gasoline 6.0L V-8 engine with a minimum of 275 horsepower and an automatic transmission. • The buses must have a heavy-duty power braking system, with four-wheel front and rear disc brakes. • The vehicles must have a minimum of 33 gallons of fuel capacity and be equipped with a catalytic converter theft deterrence system.
